Smallville is featured in the September 22-28, 2008 issue of TV Guide, in the "Sneak Peek" section. Here is a scan of the article. Spoilers for S8, obviously. And just for Whimsy, there is also a dreamy pic of Zachary Quinto from the issue. :)
The scan is big, but I'm not sure it would be readable at a smaller size. The article is about Sam Witwer's Davis Bloome. And they're still saying Michael Rosenbaum might guest star this season. *rolls eyes*
Yay! Thank you for posting this! I'm happy that SV got a whole page even if it was all about Doomsday and not really Clark. I don't get my TV Guide until Wednesday so I appreciate the sneak peek.
I really like the picture of Tom that they used. Very heroic! (Not that I haven't seen it before) Is it wrong of me that every time I see the picture of Tom carrying the little girl, the first thing that goes through my head is, "that's one lucky girl!" After all, it's not like her cuts and bruises are real! ;-)
Every time I see Zachary Quinto, I think about him as the gay best friend on Tori Spelling's VH1 show, "So NoTORIous." :-)
I always like to share when Smallville pops up in TV Guide. Any kind of mention is a thrill for me!
I love him in that blue shirt. Guh. And seeing him hold that little girl like that makes me want to see Tom as a dad in RL. You just know he would be the best dad ever. :)
I've only ever seen one episode of So NoTORIous, but it was hilarious. And ZQ was adorable in it, but I vastly prefer him as Sylar. *shivers*
That was a good way to intro Davis to the TV Guide readers, and I love how they put his picture side-by-side with Clark saving a child. I've got a really good feeling about us getting lots of good Hero!Clark this season. And if they give me that, I can forgive a ton! Really, a ton!
I'm with you. Hero!Clark is my dream come true, and I will forgive A LOT if I get him.
I was so excited to turn that page and see Tom! Yay! Sam Witwer seems pretty cool, and pretty smart, too. I'm just so curious to see how I feel after watching the episode on Thursday night. Right now I'm ridiculously optimistic.
Really? That's cool. Are you a comic book person and I never knew it, or is it because that was such a pivotal issue? That whole Doomsday story totally freaked me out when it was released. I don't read comic books, but it was all over the place in the media, so I heard about it. I didn't understand that bringing Supes back was always part of the plan, so I was outraged and terribly upset! :)
at the the time, i worked at a comic book store, but didn't really read comics....and then the Doomsday stuff came out; and the Death of Superman; and Funeral for a Friend. and i started buying them, and then all of a sudden there's there's Four Supermen, and i'm like eh??
so anyway. (oh - i have the novelization of The Death and Life of Superman too. *g*)
as for that b&w pic of Tom you posted - which one is better? or
Oh. My. God. Those are both stunning! Are you sharing? Because I would so love to have either of those!
The eyes are beautiful in the second one, but his eyes are actually green. It's funny, because on the show they always refer to his "baby blues," I guess because Supes is famous for his blue eyes.
