I know exactly which panels you're talking about! :) I have a feeling Pandora was as close as we'll ever get to those, but on the other hand, Clark and Lois's true first time together, where she knows everything, he has his full powers, they've said ILY to each other, and there is no mind-whammy, Red!K, AU, or other nonsense going on, should wipe that future that never was from our memories with its romance and intensity. Do this couple and their epic love justice before you close the curtain on their story.

I'm so sorry to post again but something you just said really sparked something...(you're probably like...shut up Audrey! Enough!)

I was actually talking about this on my own journal in my Supergirl review. I really hope that the show doesn't chicken out regarding the intensity of the Superman/Lois love story...and yes, that includes the lust. I just find it really sad that this show only allows Clark to be truly sexually free when he's under the influence of something or hynotized. The love scenes with Lana were played as very chaste or played for laughs. The Pandora future was very sexy....but it wasn't our Clark.

Then we get a scene in "Supergirl" in the Bondage Club that clearly pushes the envelope in terms of what you can get past the censors. It's very sexually explicit but it's clearly portraying sex in a negative way. It's like the show thinks that crazy hot sex only happens when someone is drugged or "evil." I have no idea how the show is going to handle Clark and Lois' first time. But I do think they do a real disservice to this love story if they don't allow it to play out full our passion that includes sexuality. Sexuality is such a huge part of the Lois and Clark love story in the mythos and it's like Smallville is afraid of it. It's like they think that two people that are in love can't be crazy all over each other...and that's just....odd.

I just feel like after what they did in Supergirl with that Bondage stuff? If they chicken out on the sex scene I'm going to call BS. Because it's clearly not about content or the censors. Not sure if that makes sense.

Oh, no, don't apologize, I'm enjoying this!

I know what you mean. I love how sexy the Clark and Lois relationship is in the comics, and I so hope we get to see that before S10 is over. It's like the show is hung up on the idea that Clark's moral purity extends to his sex life, like good = chaste, but that's just silly when we're talking about the woman he loves, and with whom he is destined to spend his life. The healthy sexual attraction between them is a part of their dynamic together that is both deeply emotional and just plain fun, and it would be a shame not to explore that facet of their relationship. Plus the shallow fangirl in me just wants to see Tom in some hot love scenes. :)

And hey, I watch Gossip Girl. Believe me, they can get away with showing just about anything! ;)
