New Smallville spoilers from Watch With Kristin
E!Online's Kristin Dos Santos had this to share in her Watch With Kristin Spoiler Chat:

I'm hearing some great things about an upcoming episode that is based on an "alt Earth" Clark will visit, which is something they did in the comic books. He will see an alt Clark there, and the end of the episode will have everyone talking. Also, get ready to scrape yourself off the ceiling after watching the 200th episode, 'cause it's made of 100 percent awesome from what I hear. "Best episode ever," says my source, and this source knows a thing or two about good TV. James Marsters is a huge part of the episode, in a good way—gone is Bad Brainiac of days past! Plus, if you're a Clois shipper (and let's face it, who isn't?!), you'll be treated to countless squeeworthy and very emotional scenes.

Read more at E!Online HERE.

I'm not up on the latest spoilers, has this "alt Earth" news come up before? It's totally new to me.

I haven't heard anything about this.

There was a ton of hype about Lazarus, and it didn't live up to it. Which makes me worry about all this hype for the 200th. I think I'd like to make up my own mind about what the best episode ever is.

I'm just trying to imagine what visiting an alt Earth has to do with Clark's journey. But it could be cool.

Call me a cynic, but when the studio or the network orchestrates these special events, like the 200th episode party and last week's advance screening of Homecoming, I have to think it puts a lot of pressure on the invited journalists to gush over the privilege of attending, and the show, at least if they want to make the list again the next time. It could also be that they get caught up in the moment, and are really reviewing that experience, rather than the true content of the episode at hand. Either way, I think we need to take their rave reviews with a grain of salt, especially after, as you point out, what happened with Lazarus.

Yes! Exactly! Who wants to be that guy/gal at the advanced screening who says "It was so-so"? And then you need to worry about ever being invited back.

From what I know of Homecoming, I really do like how Clark-centric it seems. But the concept? I have some issues, which I'm hoping will somehow be addressed in the episode.

It does kind of surprise me how homogeneous the advance reviews for both Lazarus and Homecoming have been, and I can't help but think that the thrill of seeing them early had something to do with that. The reaction from critics who didn't see the premiere before it aired, both professional and in fandom, seemed much more varied to me.

I know what you mean about Homecoming. As the trauma of Supergirl subsides, though, I'm getting more and more excited for it. :)

I think she is talking about a different episode. An alt Earth could play out in all sorts of ways. And Tom playing a different version of Clark is always fun. Color me intrigued!

Ooh, I'd love to see Clark in an "alt-earth." Maybe getting a glimpse of Justice Lord Superman?

I have no idea what that means, but it sounds like fun! :) Obviously I need to read more comic books.

Ooh, thanks for the link! I've been meaning to watch the JL animated series for a long time now, and I keep hearing that A Better World is one of the best episodes (I just never knew what it was about).

And of course now I'm thinking what Tom could do with the role of Justice Lord Superman. That would be a treat to watch.

Maybe getting a glimpse of Justice Lord Superman?

Ooooh. Yes, please!

Okay, I looked up Justice Lord Superman, and of course I found out it isn't from comic books after all. :) I've always meant to watch the Justice League animated series, but I haven't yet. Anyway, that sounds like it would be an awesome story to tackle, and a wonderful opportunity for Tom to do something different!

Well, that sounds promising. *crosses fingers*

I think it definitely has potential!

Okay, I'm going to comic book geek out here for a minute and say - if this alt. Earth thing turns out to be conformation of the Multiverse's existence in the SV world I may be unable to contain my excitement!

I have wanted Smallville to be officially given a designated planet in the Multiverse for a few years now (ever since the Multiverse got reinstated). If I finally get my wish, I may not know what to do with myself. :D

I've always loved the way the Multiverse opens up infinite possibilities for storytelling. Didn't someone from DC say a year or so ago that Smallville was essentially an Elseworld? Doesn't that make us halfway there already? ;)

I think some people in fandom would be completely open to what the Multiverse could mean for Smallville, and others would be violently opposed. I'll be interested to see what the full implications of this spoiler turn out to be!

I know more about a show I don't watch anymore than the ones I do, mostly because I can't not read your posts. Hi friend, Hi! *waves*

Awww! *hugs you tight* I think of you and Zucchini often! And I've been meaning to thank you again for my awesome desktop. Now, more than ever, it is the perfect reflection of my hopes and dreams for this show and its star. Plus it's just so pretty! :) It makes me happy every day.

Halloween icon FTW! \o/

Your still using that desktop? That was the last thing I made before the computer crash of '10. I'm so thrilled that you are still getting so much use out of it.

This icon is the sole survivor from said crash mentioned above, so I'm trying to get as much use from it as I can.

I know I fail at posting but I alway make it a habit to read the Flist. :D
