Speaking of casting, has Elena Esovolova left the show? Elena was cast in the pilot, in the role of Patty "The Wedge" Wedgerman, but her name has been removed from the Hellcats page at IMDb and the cast list at The Futon Critic, and her info was not included in the actor bios handed out to the press at the TCAs. As you can see below, she was featured in the original promo images for the show, but is not pictured in the new campaign. Her absence just made me curious.

We now have a title and official description for the second episode:
Hellcats 1x02: I Say a Little Prayer
THE HELLCATS COMPETE AT QUALIFIERS - Marti (Aly Michalka) is horrified when she discovers Wanda (Gail O'Grady) in the audience at qualifiers and banishes her from the stadium. After Charlotte (guest star emma Lahanna), Savannah's (Ashley Tisdale) sister and captain of the Hellcats' rival team from Memphis Christian college, falls and suffers a serious injury, Savannah is torn between going with her sister to the hospital and staying to compete. Savannah tells Marti her parents stopped talking to her when she decided to transfer from Memphis Christian to the secular Lancer University, forcing Marti to re-think her stance on Wanda attending qualifiers. Meanwhile, Lewis (Robbie Jones) blasts Alice (Heather Hemmens) for putting all their scholarships at risk, and Dan (Matt Barr) takes an interest in Savannah. Sharon Leal also stars. Allan Arkush directed the episode with story by Kevin Murphy and teleplay by Kevin Murphy & Jennifer Schuur (#102).

I have been wanting to see Easy A ever since I saw the first teaser trailer for it, months ago. The film opens on Friday, September 17, and it just so happens that Aly Michalka has a supporting role. The cast is stellar, and the clips are hilarious. Check it out!
