Thanks for the info re: Alessandro Juliani in Bard on the Beach and you are right that would make him super busy yet luck us he must have been able to squeeze SV in:)

Growing up in Vancouver and a big theatre buff I can't believe I never ended up going to see any of the Shakespeare productions there. They are top notch productions in a very unique beautiful spot on the beach...at Vanier Park.

Great news about Michael Shanks 'cause I'm a big fan of his too and I liked the dynamic that Hawkman/Carter Hall can bring to the show in terms of life experience/leadership guidance. Since we are talking Shakespeare I was lucky enough to see Michael's Hamlet 10 years ago at the Stanley Theatre in Vancouver. He was excellent!!!

Thanks for the link, that looks like a cool festival. I love Shakespeare. I'm sure those generous Smallville paychecks are incentive enough, but I still appreciate that AJ spent his precious time off bringing Emil Hamilton back to the show. I was sorry we didn't see him again in S9 after his hilarious performance in Persuasion. :)

That must have been wonderful to see Michael Shanks live onstage, and as Hamlet, no less! And I think those kinds of experiences make an actor special for all time, they become part of a precious memory. I've been missing MS ever since SG-1 ended (Daniel was always my favorite character). I rejoice every time he guest stars on something, and I think Carter Hall was one of his best roles. He was hilarious with Ollie and heartfelt with Clark. I'm glad he's coming back.
