Hmmm....

::laugh:: I have mixed feelings on this DVD cover but I think my gut reaction is that I like it for the most part.

I love that Clark Kent is front and center as the star of the show. The darkness of the cover does make sense since this season began as a dark and difficult year for Clark. It ended gloriously with his sacrifice in "Salvation" but I completely understand why the marketing of this season on DVD would be to embrace the darkness.

I sort of love and hate that the images look like cartoons. On the one hand, it sort of reminds me of a comic book come to life where the images are drawn by hand. On the other hand....it looks like someone drew the images with crayons. LOL

I guess wish that they had done a proper photoshoot this Season with Clark in the suit so that they didn't have to photostop the crap out of it.

All that being said, three cheers for Clark being front and center and the star of his own show.

Re: Hmmm....

Oh, I love everything about the artwork. :) And I think the cover does a good job of capturing the focus and feel of the season. But mostly, like you, I'm just happy to see Clark where he belongs: featured on the cover as the star of the show and its most important character.

I agree that they should have done a S9 promo shoot with Clark in the suit. I know we had some episode stills that featured solo shots of Clark as the Blur, but that's not the same thing.
