Lois is not a child, she can make her own decisions and face the consequences of her endless risk-taking actions, rashly or otherwise.

Clark's inability to see this (which I think is a stall by the writers so they can delay the reveal) always makes me think he's underestimating her. I guess that's my bias as a woman. And I know some women do, but I've never found overprotectiveness, jealousy, or acts of aggression in the name of defending my honor the least bit attractive in a man.

And yet, in the very same episode we also had her choosing to keep Clark in the dark because she doesn't want to put Clark in danger, since he's not bulletproof yadda yadda.

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of that one, either, but at least it was a more defensible decision. Going to confront Sacks without first getting confirmation that the Blur would be there to back her up was rather reckless, though.

That's a great link! Stupid misunderstandings are a pet peeve of mine, and usually reduce me to yelling at my TV screen when they happen on my shows. :)

I do remember that scene! That's exactly what I'm talking about. I can't be too hard on Coach, though. He's pretty much a feminist compared to any other guy from Texas. ;)

How's that for a sweeping, stereotypical generalization? LOL!
