I just don't believe the notion that they wrote these ODs with the strict intent to drum up publicity strictly to court Chloe/Allison fans into watching.

Well of course not. But either they're featuring Chloe because she's just that important to the story, or because they specifically want to highlight whatever role she does play. Either way, through the writing or the marketing, they're trying to get the attention of viewers who are interested in Chloe and what she's doing. But I don't want to split hairs, truly.

I remember TPTB saying we would see more of Chloe in the second half. I don't remember them ever saying it would be at the expense of the focus on Clark.

I think one of the reasons that the OD's might be inaccurate is because they could be based on the network version of the script, which is not final. Or maybe the people who write them are on crack. :)

I thought it was notable that Al Septien seemed a little dismayed when he found out the Z thing had been spoiled. It's interesting to consider what the writers would consider too spoilery, versus the opinion of the people who actually decide what to tease in the OD's.
