I'm happy for Michael that he's finding work that he obviously enjoys, but the selfish part of me is sad that he's going back to comedy. Quite honestly my sense of humour doesn't really mesh with the comedy he likes to do, so I do wish that he was still into similar dramatic roles after making such an impression as Lex Luthor. I would love to see him on an HBO drama or something, although I guess it's understandable that it perhaps wouldn't hold much interest for him after spending so many years playing Lex

Still he is such a talented actor that whatever work he is offered it's all of the good to have him back on our screens again. I was never expecting Michael to return for ten episodes for season 10, not after the same confident predictions were made for season 8 and how he would never turn that work down, yet he still did.

I do hold out hope that they can make him a good enough offer to get him back for the finale though. Or even the final two episodes as as they would probably need more than one episode to work with when it comes to re-introducing his character, as well as spending the necessary time on wrapping up Clark's journey in the finale

It's interesting that Michael is so gifted at drama, and yet it is comedy that he has always preferred and found fulfillment doing. He can make me laugh, and make me cry. I think he's incredibly talented, and deserves to follow his bliss, whatever that may be. I'll watch whatever he cares to create! :)

Lex's presence in the finale isn't so critical to me. It all depends on what their plan is for S10, and how they execute it. I've always seen Smallville as a story about Clark, so I just hope they do him justice in the end.
