That makes me really sad. I certainly do not want any other actor to play Lex Luthor. The only thing that writers should do is to address the issue of whether Lex is alive or not. There could be a reference to Lex being alive and living somewhere else. But not a fake Lex again. Please!

Let's hope MR will change his mind for at least the season finale. I don't think that saving his head just for one more time would be so much to ask ;)

They couldn't possibly consider re-casting. That would be an even bigger abomination than Fake!Lex. I think Dr. Fate has already confirmed Lex is still alive by what he said to Clark in Absolute Justice, but I would still like them to say it more explicitly on the show before the series is over. But they need to respect Michael's decision and just leave Lex out of the show from now on. He represents Clark's future, but there are plenty of other stories to explore in the present.

Honestly, I don't need to see Lex at the end of the series, any more than I need to see Lana, or Chloe, for that matter. All I need is Clark. Michael would be a wonderful bonus, but I'm happy enough with how his story ended in S7.
