I'm a Chloe fan who is against Chloe/Oliver because he slept with Lois. I think that's both gross and wrong. I also hate that it's going to be implied that Chloe is nothing more that Oliver's second choice, and I think that's very disrespectful of Chloe. I don't know why Chlollie fans are so happy, because this relationship/fling makes Chloe look like she's not worthy of being someone's first choice. I know that the Chloe fans I talk with aren't happy but they rarely post about the show anymore because they are so upset. We tend to focus on how hot Tom looked, or how pretty Allison looked.

As a Chloe fan I've hated what they've done to Chloe, her and Clark's friendship, and now making her Oliver's second best. I think that she deserves better than being second best, being dragged through the mud, and having her friendship with Clark destroyed. I guess I thought, with this possibly being Allison's last year, that they would repair the friendship and have Chloe leave with a smile on her face. I don't understand why TPTB are going in the direction that they are. Why they feel the need to ruin Chloe as a character and make her someone's second choice. It's been one crappy year if you're a Chloe fan. Sorry for the rant. I found your journal via a link. ~Donna

Don't apologize, you're welcome to rant here. :)

I'm not happy with what they've done with Chloe either. I don't see why she has to be at odds with Clark. Their friendship has always been one of the best things about this show, and I miss it terribly. And having that relationship deteriorate at the same time that the Clois romance heats up only fans the flames of the shipper wars.

I also think that by giving Allison so little to do, they're foolishly squandering her amazing acting talent, but I shouldn't be surprised. They did the same thing with Michael Rosenbaum.

Actually, I think that the way Justin describes it (especially after reading his new interview with Zap2it, HERE), it sounds like Chloe and Oliver are going to share some kind of casual hookup, with no commitment or expectations, as if they're two broken souls who are incapable of loving anyone right now, so they cling to one another in a relationship that is as damaged as they are. I hope I'm wrong, because I think that would be awful.

If it is indeed a romance, I agree that Chloe would look like Oliver's second choice. Just like the end of Requiem made Lois look like Clark's second choice. And that would suck. Oliver's past with Lois wouldn't be an issue for me if it were truly in the past, but he was declaring his undying love to her just a few weeks ago on the show's time line. And I imagine Chloe is still very much traumatized by watching her husband be brutally murdered right before her eyes. I just don't think either one of them should be contemplating a new romantic relationship right now.

I keep hoping that Clark and Chloe will find their way back to one another and repair their friendship, but with each new spoiler it seems less likely. I do worry about what they have planned for Allison's exit from the show.
