I want to respond to this review in detail, but I'm on my way out for the evening, so all I can say at this moment is that I love every single last line of your post, and damn, I wish I'd thought of your clone-army idea to explain the Zod storyline. I love it. And even more so since they've already presaged it in show canon, with Lara and Zor-El. Brilliant idea, honey!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I'm afraid there's still a lot to explain before my theory really works. The orb Zod came out of is the same one that Lex took to the Fortress, right? The orb that Jor-El placed on Earth as a fail safe device against Clark? So how does the Zod storyline intersect with the Veritas one? Or does it? Is the orb a mixed bag of Kryptonian tricks, each with its own purpose? Doesn't Major Zod predate Jor-El's knowledge that he would have to send his son out into space to survive? And why did Clark and Doomsday have to face off before the orb would open? It's enough to make my head spin.

The real question is, do the writers know, or are they going to be making it up as they go along?

I watched Savior again today, and I just keep liking it better. They did an amazing job of setting up where all these characters are going this season, especially given that they had to do it in the space of 42 minutes.
