My Superman loving heart had me * beaming* a slightly sappy grin at the end of that episode. Seriously. A grin was on my face when the convosation in the phone booth began, but Clark's reaction when he realised that Lois was offering to be the RBB *friend* It turned into a very goofy one.

And it's in character for Lois to do reach out to the "outsider" and be his friend, without judging him. She does it with Clark, and it came naturally to her. She's the only of who doesn't tell him what to do, and how to do it. I believe this is why we've seen him falling for her, and those final scenes of him looking at her both at the DP and from his vantage point, just solidifyied it for me.

He's fallen for her big time, and now he knows that she won't be overawed by the fact he is a superhero. Granted he should learned that from Infamous, but he was still hurting over Lana.

But now he's willing to subconsciously acknowlege those feelings and yeah....he took a bullet for her, without his invulnerbility. Which is why it galls me that some people act like the only thing that's important about Clark is his powers. It's the man that's important.

As an aside, I think the people who posit the theory that the suit that Lana is wearing will prolong her life, are sadly mistaken. In the comic Lex develops cancer from wearing a kryptonite ring, now if Lana is going to be wearing a suit that's absorbed 2 tons of krytonite I don't see how her life is going to be prolonged, rather the opposite. Seriously I don't think the suit was shielded with lead, to prevent the kryptonite affecting her on a cellular level. And seriously it's kryptonite how in the world will they get round that?

Ok how blue do Tom's eyes look in that final pic? and gorgeous. Have I mentioned that?

Chloe....I'm trying to feel sympathy for her, and trying to see the view point of her doing this to protect Clark. However I can't help but feel, that if she really wanted to protect Clark she'd have called him to let him know what's happened. Her feeling for Davis are getting in the way, and while I can empathise with her to some extent, I still want to shake, her repeatedly. Especially as it should be clear to her that Davis played her. She's not stopping the transformations, and Davis is still killing. And he will continue to.

Jimmy is fun to watch but why did they have to do this to his character???

Lois, wonderful snarky Lois, who is still so in love with Clark, and yet is developing this puppy love crush on the RBB. I loved that she got called out three times about how unethical what she was doing was!!!! and that she learned from it!!!

Lois does treat Clark differently than everyone else does, and I think that she, more than anyone else, allows him to set his burdens aside and just be himself, as a man. That's what I love most about her. And I was just beaming by the end of that phone call, too. :) The DP scene was so adorable, and then the phone booth scene was so much MORE.

I couldn't agree more that it's the man who makes the superhero. In fact, I did a picspam on that very subject a couple of months ago! :) I love that Clark makes the same choices, with or without his powers. That's just who he is, and that's why he's MY hero.

The Clana shippers are grasping at straws, but it still bothers me that the show left them even that slim opening by not giving us true closure on that relationship. I understand why, and I've read what Kelly Souders said about the kryptonite being a symbol, but I still think they were just being gutless.

As much as I love Chloe, and as fabulous as AM was in this episode at tugging at my proverbial heartstrings, a part of me is angry with her for not trusting Clark enough to tell him everything. And I have a feeling I'm going to be even more angry by the end of tonight's episode.

I don't know if you read spoilers, so all I'll say about Jimmy is that AA is doing a great job of portraying him on the edge. I don't like the storyline, but I can't fault the performance.

Well, Clark was awesome in it. And super pretty! :) Tom's acting was wonderful, too. And don't read any further if you don't want to be spoiled.

Chloe made me yell stuff at my TV screen. I like Oliver better than most, so I was fine with him until the end, when he was a complete ass to Clark, and I loved how he told Chloe off earlier in the episode. Even if you believe she did what she did to protect Clark (and I think her motives were a bit murkier than that), she still lied to him all through the episode, called him paranoid when he said Davis was still alive, sent him on a wild goose chase to Alaska, and went to the farm and stole the octagonal key, which she used to help Davis escape from Clark. How can Clark ever trust her again?

I didn't hate it like the Lana arc, because it didn't make Clark look bad, IMO. And SW does creepy really well. In fact, all the acting was great. But there's no doubt in my mind that Chloe is the new Lana. She was the martyr supreme in this one.
