They're watching you, they see your every move.
I have a houseguest this week, so I'm catching my shows on the fly, usually in the middle of the night after everyone else is in bed. I just watched Monday night's shows. In the interest of getting a few hours of sleep, just a few quick impressions!

Chuck 1.05 - Chuck Versus the Sizzling Shrimp

First up, Chuck! Chuck again did a bunch of cute, funny, or sweet stuff that made me love him more than ever. Ordering take-out during the stakeout, and defending his actions with, "Hello? That's why I used an alias!" *snerk* Listening to Private Eyes by Hall & Oates during the stakeout. Ninja fighting with Morgan. Loving his sister so completely and unabashedly. Trying to do it all. Love this show, again, some more.

The B story with Morgan was cute. He is so weird. His pathetic sales pitches were kind of funny, his interaction with the Herd guys was pretty hilarious, and his bonding with Ellie was nice. "Help me Chuck Bartowski, you're my only hope." I say that to people all the time! ha!

John Casey rules! He shows great restraint in not killing Chuck and Morgan both. :)

The four favorite words thing was fun. The music was awesome. The music is always awesome! One thing kind of bugged. Sarah looked like she was going to fall out of her top a couple of times tonight. Is that really necessary? Anyway, another great week! Thanks, show!

Heroes 2.05 - Fight or Flight

Zoom! On to Heroes! Kristen Bell! Rocks!! Yay! Seriously, she was awesome. I was a little apprehensive about this borderline stunt casting, but no more. She was really fun as someone evil, and I can't wait to see more of her. I guess I was supposed to feel bad that she crispy-crittered the Irish lunk, but we already know I don't like them, and besides, he brought it on himself with his preening arrogance. Can we leave now, Peter?

Nathan captivated me tonight. Between that crazy mane of disheveled hair and the hot scruff, I could barely think straight while he was on screen, much less pay attention to what was going on! "I'm not a cargo jet, Parkman!" hee! And speaking of Parkman? Matt, Matt, Matt. *shakes head* Your judgment still isn't what it could be. We all knew your dad was lying, why couldn't you see it? How was what you did tonight any smarter than trying to empty your clip into a man with the power of telekinesis? *sigh* At least you were able to pull yourself out of the nightmare, and Nathan as well. Because when he said he could take care of himself? Um, not so much, as it turns out.

Monica and Micah? Boring. Ando? Love him! Hiro? Boring. Niki? Buh?

This whole episode was six degrees of Mohinder - the man gets around! I like Mohinder a lot this season. He's in the middle of the action, and he's being brave, and stealthy, and smart. He's out of his depth, but he's dealing, for now. However, in the long run, can he stay good, or will he get sucked in?

The Company? Bad. No West? Good. No meh twins? Very good. No Sylar? Very, very bad!

In short, a bunch of stuff happened, some tiny fraction of which I understood. Blah. I'm exhausted, and off to bed. I promise to be more thinky later in the week. :)

Back on Thursday, if not sooner! Good night, all!

Chuck continues to please me in many ways. It still makes me smile in copious amounts, but I'm glad we're getting to some emo moments, too.

Ah, Hereos! *shakes head* I wish the writing would come together quickly. Things seem to be rolling along now. Maybe this shorter volume stuff wasn't such a good idea. You don't like Monica and Micah? I think they're so cute together, and so much fun after those whiney twins. (Sylar, honey, could you kill them quickly, please? Maya must go, but I wouldn't mind some machismo from Alejandro for a couple of eps. You know, to soften up the food. Thanks, babe!)

I do like Monica and Micah, especially because Micah gets to smile for once, I just found last night's little adventure less than enthralling. It only picked up for me when Mohinder showed up. Whatever happens next? I'm all in for that!

Word on those twins. I only kind of missed them last night because it's fun to speculate how long they'll last, and what Sylar will do to mess with their heads and prolong their torment.

I am being such a bad hostess! My guest is someone who doesn't ever watch television, and is condescending about how much I love it, and the whole time we were visiting on Monday night I was totally antsy and distracted. Last night I was huddled in front of my computer, in the dark, headphones on, trying not to laugh too loud while watching Chuck. :)

I know. I have people like that. And when you get them to watch, they talk all through it about what's going on. Hello? Commericals?

Erm . . . sorry about that. Guess I have some issues.

Me, too! In fact, I'm just plain intolerant, and have been known to shush people. :) I also can't stand people who are perfectly quiet during the show they like, but when your show comes on they'll randomly talk about whatever through the whole thing. Rude much?

I love television, I watch it all the time, and I decided some time ago I wasn't going to be embarrassed about it or apologize for it. It someone thinks less of me for that, so be it. I just have too much fun with my shows to worry about that. :)
